3. Indian Railways has launched an special Inspection application called Overhead Equipment (OHE) which will help in minimizing the train delays and long waits due to technical snags. The app has been rolled out on an all over India basis.

4. Indian eminent educationalist Pradeep Kumar Joshi has appointed as the chairman of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). He will replace Arvind Saxena .

5. On 7th Aug, Delhi government has launched its Electric vehicle policy which aims to boost the capital's economy and reduce the pollution level. It also includes various incentives and rewards for the promotion of the purchase of electric vehicle in the city.

6. Recently the Central Bank of India i.e RBI has launched 'Innovation Hub' for incubation and ideation of new capabilities that can be leveraged to heighten financial inclusion.

7. Hyderabad based non profit org. 'Naandi Foundation' gets as one of the Top 10 visionaries  in the world for the FOOD Vision 2050 prize by the Rockefeller Foundation with the amount of $200,000.

8. India will take part in the Russian Kavkaz-2020 strategic command-post exercise in the next month. Pakistan and China also take part in the multilateral military exercise.

9. The state government of Maharashtra has tied up with Google to provide online education to the students in the state and becomes the first in the country to do so. It will cover near about 1.09 lakh government ,private schools.

10. The International Cricket Council has announced that India will host the T20 World Cup in the 2021 and the next edition of the event will happen in Australia in 2022. It has also postponed the Women's ODI World cup from early 2021 to 2022.

9. Hyderabad has been ranked 16th among the top 20 most surveilled cities globally according to a report published by a UK based firm. Taiyuan from China ranked topped the list.

10. Country observes 100th death anniversary of great freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak. The All India Home Rule League was founded by Tilak in April 1916 at Belgaum.

3. Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan finally has given the approval to form three capital in the state. The clearance of the Decentralization bill facilities the development of Amaravati, Kurnool and Visakhapatnam(Vizag) as the legislative, judicial and exclusive capital.

4. In the recent Niti Aayog's overall Delta district rankings, Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district has topped list for the Feb-Jun 2020 period. Ribhoi district of Meghalaya has placed second rankings.

7. The Father of Taiwan's democracy and former Taiwanese President Lee Teng-hui has passed away recently at the age of 97. He served as president of the country from 1988 to 2000.

8. Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) has developed a medical bed isolation system named ‘Aashray’ to fight against pandemic COVID-19. It is a low cost, reusable solution to maintain proper isolation of COVID-19 patients by creating a suction or negative pressure near exhale, further filtering and disinfecting the aerosol.

9. Current defense minister of Ivory Coast , Hamed Bakayoko has been named as the new Prime Minister of the country. He served as the communication minister during 2003-2011.

10. The administrative authority of Australia will force US social-tech giant Facebook and Google to pay Australian media publishers for the news content. Because a past years recent study carried on Australian market estimated around 3000 journalism jobs have been lost in the last decade, as traditional media companies pay add revenue to Google and FB , paid nothing in return for news content.

1. Asian Development Bank (ADB) has recently approved $3 million (₹22 crore) grant(is financed by the Japanese government) to India from its Asia Pacific Disaster Response Fund to fight against pandemic COVID-19.

2. India becomes the fifth highest COVID-19 fatalities in the world. Near about 35k people died due to this pandemic infections. US remained the top position regarding fatalities and infections.

3. A 19 year old village girl, Mansi Bariha, from Odisha has shown her courage led to the rescue of 6000 migrant workers trapped in Tamil Nadu during the COVID-19 pandemic. The National Commission for Women has tweeted her brave story on the occasion of the World day Against Trafficking in Persons (30th Jul).

4. Kolkata based SN Bose National Centre for Basics Sciences under the Department of Science and Technology have developed a device called 'AJO-Neo' for non-touch and painless non-invasive bilirubin level screening in new born babies.

5. Domestic Indian all-rounder , Rajat Bhatia has called of from all forms cricket. He started his career with Tamil-Nadu in 1999 . He has also been a regular IPL player.

6. The United States House Committee has recently passed bill inspired by Gandhi-King initiative to mark 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The bill empowers the Indian government and US government to establish an an annual educational forum for students form both the countries to study the work and legacies of both the famous personalities. A $30 million fund per year will be included for this forum.

7. Under the Make in India initiative, the Guwahati Development Department Minister has inaugurated the city's first manhole cleaning robot named 'BANDICOOT' to ensure minimal human involvement to clean the sewers.

8. Indian Folk musician and Padma Shri awardee Sonam Tshering Lepcha , from Kalimpong, West Bengal  has passed away at the age of 92. He played Lepcha folk song on All India Radio in 1960.

10. Turkish parliament has recently approved a new social media law that gives authorities greater power to regulate the social media inspite of the concerns of growing censorship. It requires major social media companies like FB, Twitter to keep their representatives offices in Turkey to deal with complaint against content on their platform.

9. Leicester city striker Jamie Vardy has recently bagged the Premier Leagues Golden Boot football award after scoring 23 goals across the 2019-20 session. Manchester City's Ederson won the Golden Glove awards.

1. The Union Cabinet led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the National Education Policy 2020 on 29 July. The recently approved National Education Policy 2020 will replace the 34 year old National Policy on Education (NPE), 1986. Union  HRD Ministry to be renamed as 'Ministry of Education'. The policy includes new 5+3+3+4 school curriculum with 3 years of Anganwadi/ Pre-schooling and 12 years of schooling. M. Phil out in this new education policy.  Under the policy, Vocational Education will start from 6th Class with Internships Teaching up to at least 5th Grade to be in mother tongue and regional language. In this new policy the National Research Foundation (NRF) will be establish . There has a proposal to make the exams easier.

2.International Day of Friendship is observed globally on July 30 i.e. today to mark the importance of friends and friendship in life. In 2011, United Nations General Assembly had proclaimed this important day.

3. A rare sandstone idol in the 9th century Pratihara style of Rajasthan called 'Natesa of Rajasthan temple' is returning to the country after 22 years from London. It was smuggled out of the country in 1998.

4. Eminent Bollywood actress 'Kumkum' has passed away. She has featured in over 100 Hindi films like 'Mother India' Ujala and Geet, etc. Her real name was Zaibunnissa.

5. West Bengal's football club Mohun Bagan became the first ever football club in the country to feature on NASDAQ billboards in New York's Times Square.

6. Paytm Money has recently appointed Varun Sridhar as the new  Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. He will replace former MD&CEO Pravin Jadhav.

8. Veteran Bengal Congress Leader and President Somen Mitra has passed away today at the age of 78 due to cardiac arrest. He was three time president of Congress in West Bengal unit from 1992-2018.

9. Indian climate activist, Archana Soreng has been named by UN Secretary-General( Antonio Guterres) to his new advisory group. She is experienced in advocacy and research, and she is working to document, preserve, and promote traditional knowledge and cultural practices of indigenous communities.

10. World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is celebrated every year on 30th July by the United Nations to raise awareness of the situation of victims of human trafficking and for the promotion and protection of their rights. 6. Last Nizam daughter, Sahebzadi Basheerunnisa Begum has died at the age of 93 at her home in Purana Haveli, Hyderabad. She was the daughter of Mir Osman Ali Khan Siddiqi(1886-1967).

7. Telangana government has developed a new mobile application named 'HITAM' (Home Isolation Tele-medicine and Monitoring) for the COVID-19 patients on home quarantine to avail themselves of the service of the private doctors. Already 120 doctors have enrolled in this application.

8. Malaysia's former Prime Minister Najib Razak has been found guilty of corruption and sentenced to long 12 year jail yesterday. Malaysian court finds former PM illegally received $10 million from outsiders(SRC International).

9. Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has launched an innovation contest called ‘Dare to Dream 2.0’ on the 5th death anniversary of former President and noted scientist Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. It is an open challenge to promote the individuals & startups for innovation in defence and aerospace technologies in the country.

10. England right arm pacer Stuart Broad grabbed his 500 Test wicket against ongoing match against West Indies . He placed 7th position in the world highest Test wicket taking ranking. He played 140th Test cricket for his country.

8. Recently a tropical storm named Hurricane Hanna devastated in the South Texas coast , drowned powerlines and roofless houses still threatened by flash flooding in an area already badly infected by COVID-19.

9. Two time Oscar winner British American actress Olivia de Havilland has passed away at the age of 104. She appeared in 49 feature films, and was one of the leading actors of her time. Her one of the blockbuster movie was Captain Blood(1935).

10. Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal has launched the portal named as “Rozgar Bazar”, a sort of marketplace for job seekers and the people recruiters. The recruiters can visit the website and update their requirements, similarly job seekers are also required to visit the portal and update their qualification, experience and requirement.

4. One research team from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur have developed a new technology for low cost(₹400 per test) COVID-19 tests using a portable device. It can give results within one hour.

5. Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju has announced on 25th Jul that Panchkula in state Haryana will hos the fourth edition of the ' Khelo India Youth Games'.

6. Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir recently launched a program called 'Macadamisation' for the improvement of roads(including 11,000 km of fair-weather roads) across the J&K.

7. Today i.e 27th July is celebrated as 82nd CRPF Raising day in all over India. The CRPF was raised on this day in 1939as the Crown representative Police under the British, but later it was changed as Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF) in 1949 under Sardar Patel.
 
8. ‘World Class State of Art Honey Testing Laboratory’ has been set up in Anand , Gujarat by the Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. It will encourage large number of famers for production and marketing of Honey in the state.

9. Former Tanzanian President Benjamin Mkapa has passed away recently at the age of 81. He served as the third President of the country from 1995 to 2005.

10. The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation has announced that it will take up clinical trials of pandemic COVID-19 vaccine COVISHIELD developed by the Oxford University and AstraZeneca. The Serum Institute of India is also developing a live attenuated vaccine with US based bio-tech firm Codagenix.

4. Bank of Baroda has launched it's 100% paperless digital self-assisted online savings account ‘Insta Click Savings Account’. The account is activated in real-time, which means the customer can start transacting, using the Baroda M Connect Plus application with the MPIN.
5. A petrochemical plant in the Southern France spills toxic brown chemical that spread over six hectares of nationally recognised marine life area in the Mediterranean sea recently.

6. US mobile giant brain Apple has announced that it's mobile manufacturer Foxconn has started assembling the iPhone-11 in India. It has done more than ₹10,000 crore investment in the Indian market and sold 10 crore Apple phones in this country.

7. Popular jazz singer in the 1950s Annie Ross has passed away recently. In 2014, Ross released the album “To Lady With Love,” a tribute to Billie Holiday.

8. Current Mumbai Customs Deputy Commissioner Sahil Seth has been appointed as the honorary adviser of steering committee of BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry as voluntary basis. The organisation aims to reach out young entrepreneurs. 

9. In collaboration with IIT Jodhpur and IIT Nagpur, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur has designed and developed a smart wristband for accurate tracking and monitoring of COVID-19 positive and suspect patients recently.

10. Country's space startup called 'Digantara' has developed India's first in-orbit space debris monitoring and tracking system. The system actually works on Light Detection and Ranging(LIDAR) technology.

10. E-commerce major Amazon's digital payments unit 'Amazon Pay' has launched vehicle insurance in partnership with Karnataka based startup Acko General Insurance. It will enable an easy to use integrated buying experience for its customers and do zero paperwork.

3. Vice Admiral Anil Kumar Chawla has commissioned country's largest Solar power plant at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala which is included under government's National Solar Mission. The plant has the capacity of power production up to 3MW.

4. National Broadcasting Day was observed on 23 July. India's first radio broadcast in India went on air from the Bombay Station on 23 July 1927by the private company the Indian Broadcasting Company (IBC)

5. 1986 batch, Indian Foreign Service Officer, Riva Ganguly Das has been appointed as the secretary (east) in the Ministry of External Affairs. She will replace Vijay Singh. Miss. Ganguly presently working as the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh. 

6. India and Israel have come forward to launch a cooperation operation to develop rapid pandemic COVID-19 test. One team will set up, which will conduct series of final stages of testing and this is a part of the cooperation.

7. China has successfully launched its first independent mission called “Tianwen-1” to Mars through Long March 5 rocket. It will orbit the red planet for two to three months before attempting a landing.

8. Famous choreographer and danseuse Amala Shankar has passed away at the age of 101 in Kolkata. She had acted in the film 'Kalpana' in 1948. The government of West Bengal has given 'Banga Bibhusan' award in 2011.

9. Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and Union Bank of India have announced a corporate agency agreement recently to distribute LIC policies. The Public sector lender will market LIC products of term insurance, pension, plan, children plan, ULIPs, and endowment schemes.

10. The State Government of Karnataka has approved the formation of the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission which aimed to promote over 7,000 start-ups, e-commerce, and other gig economy companies in the State.
