1. Indian Navy plans to seek a rise in its share of defence budget . At present it's share is 13.6% in union budget which was comparatively lower than that of the previous years. Also Wing Commander Anjali Singh has become India's first female military diplomat to be posted in any of the Indian missions abroad.

2. Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers Shri Sadananda Gowda inaugurated the Annual Health Conference Pharma Med HD -19 Transforming the perception of Indian Health Care Industry in New Delhi The stakeholders of the Healthcare Industry on one platform through such conference the sector is expected to generate 40 million jobs in India by next year.

3. Trilateral exercise SITMEX 2019 has started from 16th Sep involving the Indian Navy , the Republic of Singapore Navy , and the Royal Thailand Navy , recently commenced at Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar.

4. Government to increase MGNREGA wages to inflation in bid to take incomes. Presently it is now ₹178/day but the minimum wages is fixed at ₹375/day by the centre . So it should increase up to 10%-20%.

5. Neena Gupta wins two awards in Indian International Film Festival held in Boston with her latest film 'The Last Color'.

6. After completing the official procedure for renaming Hyderabad Karnataka region Chief Minister of Karnataka B.S. Yediyurappa made the official proclamation to rename the region Kalyana Karnataka region. This region comprises six north eastern districts.


7. Sri Lanka unveiled South Asia’s tallest tower, costing over $100 million, 80% of which has been funded by China . The 350-meter-tall 17-storey Lotus Tower, located in the heart of Colombo city.

8. Tech IT service  company Cognizant  has appointed Ramkumar Ramamoorthy as the chairman and MD of this company.

9. Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla announced that the state is going to host the United Nations International Conference to discuss the issues related to drug menace, HIV/AIDS problems in the region on September 30 and October 1.

10 . Former Indian Left handed batsman Dinesh Mongia announced his retirement from international cricket. He had played his last international match for India since 2007.
