1. Gujarat and Tamil Nadu tops the PM-JAY health scheme list. Source said that scheme showed a great response in these states.

2. National carrier Air India (AI) became the first airline in the world to use a TaxiBot on an Airbus A320 aircraft operating a commercial flight with passengers on board. The aircraft of AI 665 Delhi-Mumbai flight was brought to the runway at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) airport’s Terminal 3 using the TaxiBot.

3. Marget Atwood's 'The Testaments' and B Evaristo' 'Girl Woman and Others'  are joint winner of Booker prize. These goes to best novel of the year.

4. IMF has cut down India's growth rate at 6.9% for the ongoing year 2019. It also predicts for next financial year i.e 7.0%.

5. Phil Simmons reappointed as West Indies cricket team's head coach. After lots of chaos in this selection process the appointment happens.

6. International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the European Business & Technology Centre (EBTC). The agreement aimed to establish a Living Lab on the institute’s campus. The lab will be set up by the end of 2020.

7. The world remembers
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India as a loved teacher. The United Nations declared his birthday, October 15, 2019, as World Students Day.

8. Bangladesh becomes the 2nd fastest growing after Bhutan from South Asia. India dropped from its earlier position due to its slow and down economy.

9. World Food Day is observed on 16 October every year. The day is observed every year by people from around the world. The day aims to tackle global hunger. Theme: The theme for 2019 is Our Actions Are Our Future. Healthy Diets for A #ZeroHunger World.

10. Indian sutler Priyangshu Rajawat claimed the men's singles titles at the Bahrain International series badminton championship competition .
