1. The Siachen Glacier is now open for tourism- defence minister Sri Rajnath Singh has inaugurated a strategically important bridge over the Shylock river in Eastern Ladakh.

2. Foreign Portfolio Investors have infused a net sum of 5,072 crore rupees into the Indian capital market in this months. That investment shall increase the growth of the Indian economy.

3. The Engineers at the Stanford University have developed a new catalyst that helps to turn carbon dioxide from cars into fuels like propane or natural gas.It is a transition element belonging to platinum group of elements.

4. British tennis maestro Andy Murray won the men's singles title at the European Open 2019 on 20 October. He defeated Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka by scoring 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.

5. Kartarpur MOU to be signed with Pakistan tomorrow. New Delhi asks Islamabad to reconsider its demand for a $20 service charge for each of the pilgrims entering into Pak province.

6. Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma smashed the former Australia cricketer Don Bradman's record of highest average in Test cricket in Ranchi, Jharkhand on 20 October. 

7. Folk songs ,Sanskrit Heritage Festival has started in Delhi by Delhi govt, between 22nd Oct to 24th Oct.

8. SBI chairman Rajnish Kumar has been appointed as the new chairman of Indian Banks’ Association. He has replaced Sunil Mehta, MD & CEO of PNB.

9. IIT Kharagpur graduate Debayan Saha has invented a device called “PM 2.5” which he claimed when fitted near the silencer pipe in vehicles will curb air pollution. It can neutralise the pollution emitted from 10 cars in its vicinity.

10. The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) released the list of states with the most number of crimes against women for the year 2017. Uttar Pradesh topped the list, and Assam registered the highest total rate of crime against women.  Report indicated as-- Unsafe States- The list reported Assam as Most Unsafe State and Lucknow as Most Unsafe City.
