1. Steel giant  Arclor Mittal takes over of Essar , cleared by Supreme Court. It has promised to pay ₹42,000 crore to the secured financial creditors of bankrupt Essar steel.

2. Rajasthan's free medicine scheme which was launched in 2011-12 ranked tops in the list produced by National Health Mission list.

3. Andhra government has launched the ‘Nadu-Nedu’ programme. The programme aims to introduce English medium from classes 1 to 6 in state-run schools.

4. In a judgement significant for India's fledging corporate resolution process under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, Supreme court has extended it up to 330 days limit.

5. Lieutenant Colonel Jyoti Sharma has been appointed as the Indian Army's first female Judge Advocate General officer to be deployed on a foreign mission. She will be appointed as the military legal expert with the government of Seychelles.

6. Bangladesh has topped business bribery risk amongst South Asian countries followed by Afghanistan. Pakistan also just behind them in this list. India has a decent score in this regard.

7. Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is to lend a $500-million loan to develop a suburban rail network in Mumbai. It will also fund $75 million to help finance renewable energy projects in India.

8. FIFA has appointed veteran football coach Arsene Wanger as the FIFA Chief of Global Football development.

9. Council of Scientific & Industrial Research(CSIR)-Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH), Chandigarh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay to promote collaborative research.

10. After Shewag Indian present test opener Mayank Agarwal made a 200 ton only in a single day of a TEST.
