1. Manoj Bjapai starrer Devashish Makhija's film 'Bhonslehas won prestigious awards at the Asian Film Festival Barcelona. The film has bagged two awards in the ‘Best Screenplay’ and ‘Best Director’ categories at the festival.

2. Syska Group launched an anti-bacterial LED bulb Bactiglow SSK-BAB-9W Bulb. Aim: It aims to offer products that are convenient, affordable, and reflect their evolving needs and preferences.

3. Sudarsan Pattnaik becomes the first Indian to win the Italian Golden Sand Art Award, 2019. Mr Pattnaik created a 10-foot-high sand sculpture of Mahatma Gandhi.

4. National Initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA) has been launched in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

5.Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the National Tribal Festival “Aadi Mahotsav” in New Delhi. The theme of this programme is 'Spirit of Tribal Culture, Craft, Cuisine and Commerce'.

6. Pakistan becomes the first country to introduce WHO approved typhoid vaccine. The Vaccine is to be used in southern Sindh province as more than 10,000 cases of Typhoid were documented since 2017.

7. J&K Grameen Bank secured the top position in terms of achievement of Rupay Card transaction targets (POS and eCOM). It has been ranked first among the 56 RRBs across the country.

8. Indian Para atheletes Sharad Kumar and Mariyappan Thangavelu won a silver medal and bronze medal in the World Para-Athletics Championships in Dubai respectively This win has to lead both of them to qualify into the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.

9. The National Agro Chemical Congress was conducted for four days in New Delhi. The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare hosted the event.

10. Five students from India won prizes at Oxford Big Read Asia Prize at the Asia level. Among the five students, four were from Nagpur while one from Madurai. A total of 6000 submissions from schools from China, Malaysia, Pakistan, and India participated in the competition.
