1. 50th World Economic Forum is starting from today at Davos , Switzerland. The theme of this year is 'Stakeholder for a cohesive and sustainable energy'.

2. International Monetary Fund i.e IMF has lowered the GDP growth forecast of India by 4.8% in this financial year, last time it assumed 6% in Oct,19.

3. China has reported four new cases caused by 'Coronavirus'  strain in its region. This virus can enter into human body through animal body. 

4. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has launched 'Guarantee Card' also promises free bus rides for the students named 'mohalla marshals' in the capital.

5. India has ranked 76th position in the 'Social Mobility Index Report' . Denmark has topped the list in this year.

6. Former principal secretary to PM Shri Nipendra Mishra has appointed as the Neheru Memorial Museum in New Delhi.

7. 9th International Child Film Festival has started in Kolkata   with the screening of Aizaz Khan directed movie 'Hamid'.  About 250 films from 45 countries will be screened in the week-long festival.

8. Centre has appointed four new MD & CEO of four public sector banks. they are as follows:
                                 Challa Sreenivasulu Setty- SBI
                                 Atanu Kumar Das- BOI
                                 Sanjiv Chadha- BOB
                                 Lingam Venkata- Canara

9. South Korean Mobile giant Samsung has planned to invest $500 mn to set up display factory in India through making India plan.

10. Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda has become the President of the suspended Archery Association of India (AAI) after the elections held as per the Delhi High Court order.
