1.  Tamil Nadu's 501 and Assam's 216 and others from different states attended the Tablighi Jamat held in Delhi invited maximum number of COVID-19 suspected cases.

2. IIT-Madras has partnered with two industry partners namely MagGenome Technologies and BUDDI Health. The partnership aims for research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and magnetic nanoparticles-based products.

3. ICMR has reported yesterday that a mixture of three quasi-subspecies of SARS-CoV-2 is in circulation in India. Scientist yet to classify a SARS-CoV-2 variant as an Indian strain.

4. American space research organisation NASA has announced a mission about Sun Radio Interferometer Space Experiment (SUNRISE) Mission. It aims to study about how Sun creates Giant Solar Particle storms.

5. Union Ministry of IT and Electronics and Union Health Ministry have jointly launched a corona virus risk tracking app 'Corona Kavach'  that will locate people  to asses whether they are in the high risk of geographical zone or not.

6. A students research team along with the faculties from IIT Bombay's Industrial Design Centre have developed a portable UV Sanitiser which can sterilise purses, wallets and other small items .

7. Centre has declared that it has lowered the interest rates of several small savings schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi, Kisan Vikas Patra, PF etc facing economic challenges due to the threat of COVID-19.

8. Tamil folk singer and actress Paravai Muniyamma passed away at the age of 83. Her one of a hit song is 'Madurai Veeran' .


9. The World Bank has predicted that around 35 million people in Pacific and Asia shall escape poverty including China 25 million alone due to ongoing virus threat.The bank has projected the growth in the region to be slow and around 2.1%.
10. Famous Japanese comedian 'Ken Shimura' passed away due to coronavirus. The actor was set to star in his first feature film “God of Cinema”.
