Top 10 Current Affairs of 23rd Mar :

1. India's Central Bank i.e RBI has decided it will infuse additional liquidity with a second trench of bond purchase worth ₹30,000 crore amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

2. Iranian New Year ' Navroz'  or Parsi New year was observed on 20th March. It marks the first day of month of 'Farvardin' on the Iranian calendar.


3. India and France jointly conduct patrolling from Reunion Island on Indian Ocean for the first time in the history , signalling New Delhi's intent to engage with friendly foreign partners.

4.Bharti AXA and  DBS Bank India tied-up with a complimentary insurance plan covering all medical conditions. The plan would cover all medical conditions, including Covid-19, and up to 10 days of hospitalization, with a cover of ₹5,000per day, for 30 days.

5. Cabinet has okayed ₹48,000 crore plan for electronic manufacturing ,3 schemes for manufacturing, supply chain and infrastructure to create near about 20 lakh jobs in the country.

6.  80 district and 23 different states lockdown till 31st March to contain virus spread, major public, private transport, al local, passenger and metro train facility stopped also spreading awareness don't create any mass gathering here and there.

7.  Greece handed over Olympic responsibility to Japan. However due the threat of novel Covid-19 IOC is planning to shift the Olympic-20 to the next year.

8. The international day for the' Elimination of Racial Discrimination' is observed annually on 21st March to focus on the midterm review of the international decade for People of African Descent.

9. Today i.e 23rd March, World Meteorological day is celebrated by World Meteorological Organization . This year the theme is ' Climate and Water'.    


10. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a toll-free helpline on Covid-19 safeguards for students. The facility is available on helpline number 1800118004 from 8 am to 8 pm, initially up to 31st March.
