1. Union Health Minister Shri Harsh Vardhan has stated there is no community spread up till today, but the number of cases crossed 6K reaching rapidly towards 7K , number of death cases 206 till morning by COVID-19.

2. State Rajasthan has announced big financial assistance for 'Corona Warriors', it has promised to give the assistance of ₹50 Lakh to the next kin on the death of an employee performing the duties for controlling COVID-19.  

3. Government of India (GoI) has allocated Rs. 15000 crores for ‘India COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health System Preparedness Package’. The funds will help in enhancing the production of Personal Protection Equipment, ventilators, ICU and other essential equipment.

4. Indian national channel Doordarshan has emerged among the highest watched channel in India for the week ending 3rd April.

5. Union MHRD Ministry Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has launched the 'Bharat Padhe Online' campaign on 10 April in New Delhi. The campaign aimed for crowdsourcing of Ideas for Improving the Online Education ecosystem of India.

6.  American legendary folk singer John Prine has passed away due to the effect of pandemic COVID-19. His one of the hit album was 'The Missing Years'.

7. The UN ‘Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) 2020 has projected India’s GDP for FY21 at 4.8% and warned that the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to result in significant adverse economic impact globally. 

8. The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched 'Operation SHIELD' in 21 containment zones in the state to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

9. World Homoeopathy Day is observed globally on 10 April every year to mark the birth anniversary of the founder of Homoeopathy, Dr Samuel Hahnemann. This year the theme was  “Linking research with education and clinical practice: Advancing scientific collaborations”.

10. Indian Immunologicals Limited has partnered with Australia’s Griffith University to develop the COVID-19 vaccine using the latest codon de-optimization technology.
