1. RBI yesterday announced that it will infuse ₹1 Lakh crore in the market of which ₹50,000 crore is exclusively for Non Banking Finance Companies (NBFC's) and another ₹50,000 crore to refinancing agencies like NABARD, SIDBI, NHB. 

2. The Joint Secretary of Health Ministry Lav Agarwal said in a conference the recovery rate too had improved, standing now at nearly 13%. while the ratio between the recovered positive cases and fatalities was 80:20.

3. Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has promised that it will finance $500 million projects in India to help the country improve its health care systems. So through this AIIB has doubled its funds under the COVID-19 Crisis Recovery Facility.

4. Chhattisgarh CM Shri Bhupesh Baghel, has recently launched a website ‘Cghaat’ to provide home delivery of fruits and vegetables during the lockdown.

5. World Hemophilia Day has observed globally on 17th April i.e yesterday to raise awareness for hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. This year the theme was “Get + Involved”.

6.The writer of  ' The Old Man Who Read Love Stories 'Luis Sepulveda' has passed away at the age of 70 as he was infected by Corona virus.

7. The DG of Foreign Trade said Centre has removed the restrictions on export of medicine made from 'Paracetamols' amid outbreak of  pandemic COVID-19.

8. Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) shifted its testing facility from Defence Research Development Establishment , Gwalior to Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS), New Delhi. It has also developed Automatic Mist Based Sanitiser Dispensing Unit and UV Sanitisation Box and Hand-held UV device to fight against COVID-19.


9. The Centre for Nano and Soft Matter Sciences (CeNS) has developed a compact solid state sensor to detect the heavy metal ions in water . It is a portable device which can help onsite detection in remote areas.

10. Delhi govt. has launched an application ' Assess Koro Na' to conduct door to door survey for the COVID-19 containment zones. The data collected is uploaded to the servers in real time.
