1. India becomes among the top 3 military  spenders in the world as per the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) report . US topped the list, second spot taken by China followed by India. India's expenditure is $71.1 bn in FY20

 2. Reserve Bank of India has announced on Monday a special liquidity facility for mutual funds of ₹ 50,000 crore with a view to easing the liquidity in the sector. It approved the funds under the special liquidity facility scheme effective from 27 April.

9.  IIT Bombay's students, Islamic University of Science and Technology and NIT Srinagar have came forward and invented a low cost ventilator for COVID-19. The name of this ventilator is 'Ruhdaar'. 

4. Netherlands two mink farms have tested positive for COVID-19 recently. Some staff at the two farms had earlier displayed the symptoms. 

5. Jamia Milia Islamia University has announced recently about the opening of its online application process for entry into its residential coaching academy that provides free coaching for civil services  exam 2021 for the candidates belonging to minority , SC,ST and women. Total number of seat in this regard is 208.

6. Amazon India and Indian Railways strengthen their partnership to boost the supplies. The company is leveraging the COVID-19 parcel special trains- introduced by the Indian railways during the lockdown period.

7. US President Donald Trump has nominated senior Indian-American diplomat Manisha Singh as America's next envoy to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).  

8. World Day for Safety and Health at Work is a United Nation international day that is celebrated every year on 28th Apr by International Labour Organisation. It aims to promote safe, healthy, and decent work.

3. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has banned cricketer Umar Akmal from all forms of cricket for the next three year on the basis of corruption and match fixing against India.

10.  Twitter backed social media startup 'Snapchat' has acquired 'Memer'. Memer is actually a Bangalore based platform that allows users to discover and share memes in regional language.
