1. Rajasthan CM Shri Ashok Gehlot has suggested to PM Modi that the centre should release ₹1lakh crore to the state Rajasthan to enables them to tackle COVID-19.

2. Tony Lewis, one of the founding figure behind the famous 'DuckWorth Lewis-Stern(DLS)' method used in weather affected limited overs matches has passed away at the age of 78.

3. The United States of America has deployed 'Patriot 'air defence to Iraq to protect American troops recently targeted by Iranian missiles.

4. A Digital freight forwarding startup named 'Freightwalla' has launched a mobile application to offer all the services. The app is a part of a larger "work from anywhere, anytime" initiative. The startups aim to make logistics and supply chain accessible 24x7, from anywhere, on any device.

5. Indian Air Force C130J Transport aircraft has airlifted 6.2 tonnes of essential drugs and medicine to Maldives through operation ' Sanjeevani'. 

6. The Centre is using 'Geo Fencing' application under the Indian Telegraph Act-5 ti fetch information from several telecom companies in the country every 15 minutes to track COVID-19. State Kerala first used this app. The name of the unique system is called 'Quarantine Alert System'.

7. The World Athletics Championships-2021 which was originally scheduled to held in Eugene, Oregon from August 6-15, 2021 will now be held in 2022 as the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

8. IISC Bengaluru's research team have developed indigenous ventilators under 'Project Parna' to combat against COVID-19.

9. World Autism Awareness Day observed globally on 2 April every year. The theme of World Autism Awareness Day 2020 is ‘The Transition to Adulthood’. 

10. Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology's National Informatics Center (NIC)  has developed an application 'Arogya Sethu' app. It will alerts the person whenever he comes contact within six feet of COVID-19 infected persons.
