1. In India Corona virus toll touches to 62, 2567 cases confirmed across the country , 647 of which are from Nizamuddin cluster. Maharashtra topped the list followed by Tamil Nadu.

2. Andhra government has started distributing pensions at the doorstep to 58,44,240 beneficiaries. They using its 2.5 lakh volunteer eliminating the need for pensioners to step out of their homes.

3. Three times Grammy winner 'Bill Withers' passed away at the age of 81 . He was a legendary Soul singer of 1970's era. 'Ain't No Sunshine' was one of his hit number.

4. Bhopal based 3B Blackbio Biotech(1) Ltd. becomes the 2nd Indian firm after MyLab to produce real time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Covid-19 testing kits. Its testing capacity of 10,000 kits/day from ICMR regulation.

5. Naval Dockyard Mumbai has developed its own handheld IR based temperature sensor gun with accuracy up to 0.02 degree Celsius. The instrument has been manufactured under ₹1000 through in house resources.

6. Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has approved yesterday the release of ₹11,092 crore under the State Disaster Risk Management Fund (SDRMF) to all the states to take measure for containment of Corona cases that includes Maharashtra gets ₹1611 crore , MP gets ₹910 crore.

7. SBI has listed green bonds of $100 million (about ₹750 crore) on  BSE’s India International Exchange (India INX). The bank has listed green bonds under its USD 10 billion global medium-term note programme on India INX’s Global Securities Market Green Platform.

8. China is to host the third edition of the Asian Youth Games (AYG) in Shantou in November 2021. The announcement has come from the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) on 1 April 2020. 

9. IBM has introduced ‘Watson Assistant for Citizens’ in India free of cost to address COVID-19 queries. It is basically an Artificial Intelligence platform which provides reliable information on COVID-19 related queries and helps in understanding and responding to common queries about the infected cases.

10. Centre has launched three incentive schemes to boost electronics manufacturing in the country. It will provide incentives of 4% to 6% when a company shows increased sales on electronics products.
