1. Union Cabinet on Monday has approved a 30% cut in the salaries of all MP's and a two year suspension of the MP Local Area Development Scheme, the saved amount will go to fund to combat COVID-19.

2. USA's Donald Trump administration has designated a Russia based ultra-nationalist movement group as 'terrorist' label to white supremacist group.

3. The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace is annually observed on 6th April aims to drive social change, community development and to foster peace and understanding.

4. New York based 'Bronx' zoo where a Malayan tiger named 'Nadia' tests positive for corona virus, earlier Pangolin and Bat also affected by the virus.


5. The US government has announced a grant of $2.9 million to India. The fund was released by the US government through its aid agency United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

6. Mahavir Jayanti is celebrated on 6 April every year. President Ram Nath Kovind greeted all the people in the country during this auspicious day through his tweet
7. The Government of India has extended the term of Madhabi Puri Buch as a Whole Time Member  at Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) by 6 months. She is the first woman to hold such a prestigious post  for full time in SEBI.


8. Indian-origin MP Lisa Nandy appointed as the foreign secretary of Sir Keir Starmer, the Labour Party's newly-elected Leader recently. Starmer's new committee will be responsible for coordinating labour's response to the coronavirus pandemic. 

9. Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT)-Roorkee in association with AIIMS-Rishikesh has developed a low-cost portable ventilator named 'Prana-Vayu,' . The closed-loop ventilator can be manufactured for just Rs.25,000. 

10. Vice-Chairperson Infosys' chief operating officer, UB Pravin Rao, has been appointed as the new chairman of the National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) for the year 2020-21.
