2. The Indian Army has said to its first kind of proposal to take civilians on a three year 'Tour of Duty' or short service on a trial basis to serve as officers and other rank holders initially for a limited number of vacancies which will be expanded later.

3. 1991 batch Karnataka Cadre IAS officer V. Vidyavathi  become the new Director General of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). She will be serving in the Additional Secretary to the Govt. of India.

4. State Haryana has announced that it is to provide tap water connection to all rural households by December 2022. It has already provided 1.05 lakh tap connections during 2019-20 under the Jal Jeevan Mission plan.

6. The Ministry of Tourism  has organized yesterday the 18th Dekho Apna Desh webinar series with the title 'Odisha-India's Best kept secret' and took the participants on a virtual journey into Odisha.

7. The Hockey India Executive board and State Units has announced that Maharashtra will host 2021 Men's National hockey championship and UP will host the eleventh edition of Women's competition.

8. Manoj Ahuja has been appointed the new chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). He was an IAS officer of Odisha cadre. He will replace Anita Karwa- the current chairman of CBSE.

9. Well-known  TV actor Shafique Ansari passed away recently. He was best known for his appearance in the Sony TV serial 'Crime Patrol'. He is one of the screenwriters of the hit film ‘Baghban’.

10. The WEF's (World Economic Forum) recently released Global Energy Transition Index-2020 , India ranked 74th position among 115 countries . Sweden has topped the list followed by Switzerland.
