1. Indian Central Bank i.e RBI has cut its Repo Rate by 80 basis point down to 4% and Reverse Repo Rate to 3.35% on Friday, it has also extended loan moratorium till 31st August.

2. Andhra government has launched a new programme named 'ReStart' to revive the MSME sector in the state. It is expected to benefit and give employment to 10 lakh people in  Andra Pradesh.

3. Serum Institute of India, Pune, a private company's chief said that the vaccine for COVID-19 will come soon on trial basis on September-October.

4. Ya All, an Imphal based NGO from Manipur, India has praised and listed by United Nations for its great initiative 'Khudol' towards LGBTQ1 community people to fight against pandemic COVID-19.

5.  US has given an notice to Russia that it will exit from 'Open Skies Treaty' which entered in to force on 1st Jan,2002 . Currently it has 35 member of states. It establishes a program of unarmed aerial surveillance over the entire territory of its participants.

6.  An American private equity firm KKR has agreed to purchase 2.32% stake in Reliance Industries(Jio) with the amount ₹11,367 crore ,confirms its biggest investment in Asia.

7. Australian eight time Tennis Grand Slam winner Ashley Cooper has died at the age of 83.He was renowned as 'a giant of the game'.

8.  India has become the second largest producer of PPE(Personal Protective Equipment) after China. The Ministry of Textile has taken several measure to maintain the good quality of PPE.

9. NTPC has signed a MoU with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), the PSU under Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas on 22 May. It aims to set up a Joint Venture (JV) Company for the Renewable Energy business.

10. International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB) is observed on 22 May to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues. This year the theme was "Our solutions are in nature".
