1. This is the last day of Lockdown 4.0, so the Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday announced have released a new guideline named 'Unlock 1.0' , allows opening of malls, religious places and restaurant in all areas except the containment zones.

2. R Sreerekha has been appointed as the first woman Director General of Police in Kerala as the Kerala government has appointed her as Fire and Rescue Services DGP.

3. World No Tobacco Day  is observed globally on 31 May by the World Health Organization (WHO) to raise awareness of the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use and second-hand smoke exposure. This year the theme of the day is "Protecting youth from industry manipulation and preventing them from tobacco and nicotine use".

4. The United States of America has cut the ties with World Health Organisation (WHO) over its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and major interference of China on the organisation.

5. The government of India's Department of Telecom (DoT) has ordered internet service providers to block computer file sharing website 'WeTransfer' and also the entire website www.wetransfer.com due to security reason.

6. BCCI has nominated Indian Hitman Rohit Sharma for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna and Deepti Sharma, Ishant Sharma and Dhawan for Arjuna awards.

7. The State government of Kerala has announced the Kerala Fibre Optic Network (K-FON) project will be commissioned by the end of this year. It aims to provide free internet access to the poor in the State.

8. Tennis living legend Roger Federer has topped the Forbes list for the first time with earnings of $106.3 million. Indian captain Virat Kohli takes 66th spot as the lone cricketer in the list.

9. The Ministry of Labour and Employment will provide Career Skills Training under its National Career Service Project in collaboration with TCS.

10.The name of Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) has been changed to Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) recently.
