1. India on Saturday has recorded a single day high of 2411 COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of affected cases to 37,776 and death toll has gone up to 1223 as per reported by the the Indian Health Ministry.

2. India has ranked 3rd globally in the Scientific Publication as per the survey on Research and Development Statistics and Indicators 2019-20 by the National Science and Technology Management Information.

3. Downloading the Centre's  ' Aarogya Setu' app has been made mandatory for employees. The government also working on it to reach out maximum number of disabled people in this radar.

4. The United Arab Emirates, yesterday has sent  7 tonnes of medical supplies for Indian health workers dealing with COVID-19 pandemic. India may bring back thousands of its nationals from the Gulf in the near future.

5. Indian Central bank i.e RBI has cancelled the license of Mumbai-based 'The CKP Cooperative Bank Ltd' with effect from 30th April due to the deterioration of financial stability of the lenders.

6. The Athletics Integrity Unit has banned next four years to Discus thrower Sandeep Kumari for flunking a dope test after her sample was deemed clean by the NDTL.

7. International 'Astronomy day' is celebrated every year on 2nd May and 26th September i.e twice in a year to spread awareness about the world of astronomy.

8. YES Bank authority has appointed Neeraj Dhawan as its Chief Risk Officer (CRO) with immediate effect for next three years. He has replaced Ashish Agarwal.

9. Union Ministry of Jal Shakti has launched ' IDEAthon' which focuses on the Future of River Management to explore how the ongoing COVID-19 crisis will change the river management strategies.

10. World Press Freedom day is celebrated every year on 3rd May aims to celebrate the fundamental principles of press freedom and pay tribute to journalists who have laid down their lives in the exercise of their profession. The theme this year is "Journalism Without Fear or Favour."
