1. Delhi government yesterday decided to charge 70% over and above the maximum retail price of alcohol as a 'special Corona Fee' which is coming into effect from today.

4. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed a chemical free ultra-violet disinfection tower for rapid disinfection. The name of the equipment is UV-Blaster.

5. US based private one private equity firm 'Silver Lake' has promised to invest ₹5,656 crore in Jio Platform Ltd, marks a 12.5% premium to valuation of the recent investment by Facebook.

6. The 2021 Aquatic World Swimming Championship has postpones and moved to next year due to COVID-19, it will now be held from May 13-29, 2022 as per swimming governing body FINA .

7. The Norwegian Chess Grandmaster and current world chess champion Magnus Carlsen has won the online chess championship by defeating Hikaru Nakamura on Sunday.

8. PM Modi and the External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is to participate in a virtual summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) on 4 May. The main aim of that meeting was to enhance the coordination of the member states in their fight against the COVID-19 .

9. 17 year old Indian origin girl Vaneeza Rupani , a school junior girl got honour of naming NASA's first Mars helicopter 'Ingenuity'.

10. Tech Mahindra, TATA Group and Health Ministry has taken a initiative called 'Aarogya Setu Mitr', the feature is available in the Aarogya setu mobile application. It will offer free online consultation to COVID-19 with the data provided by them.
