Top 10 Current Affairs of 7th May:

1. For the second consecutive day, yesterday India has recorded more than 100 death cases,slightly less than than the previous days record, virus tally crossed more than 50,000 mark, state Maharashtra continuously taken the top spot in the most number of infected cases.

2. Delhi government has announced that it has launched a Twitter handle account named '@DelhiVsCorona' to ensure the authentic information about the pandemic COVID-19, CM Kejriwal has also set up a team of representatives to monitor about the speedy solution of the case.

3. The Union MSME Minister Nitin Gadkiri has recently announced that Centre is working on new Agro MSME Policy. The policy is to focus entrepreneurship in rural, tribal ,forest and agricultural areas. The new policy will try to replace foreign imports with domestic production .

4. A relief fund of worth 6 million USD has been set up by the international governing bodies of Tennis to assist players hit by the pandemic COVID-19. The funds will be distributed by the ATP and WTA among the players - as per the federations announcement.

5. The government of Iran has recently come up with a big decision of changing the name of its currency 'Rial' to 'Toman'. According to the Iranian officials rule one Toman is equals to 10,000 Rials. Although the old currency Rial will still remain legal.

6. 'World Athletics day' is celebrated globally on 7th May i.e today. It aims to boost participation in athletics among youngsters. It was celebrated from the first time in the year 1996.

7. 'Vesak', the Day of the Full Moon is observing on 7 May in this year by the United Nation. The day commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and Death of Lord Buddha, the founder of Buddhism.
 
8. Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy has released a report on 'Impact of Energy Efficiency measures ,2018-19'. According to this report the energy initiative of BEE have helped to save rs.89,122 crores.

9. Horlics and GlaxoSmithKline will promised to sell their 5.69% stake in Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL)in a deal value at 3.3 billion USD i.e in INR rs.24,750 crore . For this reason HUL shares decline to 1.57%.

10. A new feature named  'Aarogya Setu Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS)'  has been implemented in the Aarogya Setu mobile application aims to include the citizens with feature phones and landlines under the protection of Aarogya Setu.
