1. In the past 24 hours India registered 3561 more cases and 89 death toll taking the total number of death cases more than 52K . Randeep Guleria, the director from All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) has stated that the cases likely to hit peak in the June-July.

6. Iraq's former spy chief 'Mustafa al-Kadhimi' sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Iraq by the lawmakers. The appointment comes early as the country faces severe economic crisis for the oil prices and and pandemic COVID-19.

7. Indian Institute Technology, Kanpur and Bharat Dynamics has joint hand recently for the development of affordable ventilators for the COVID -19 patients which has unique features to safeguard the frontline health workers form exposure to the virus.

8. NIT Trichy and six Central Universities have been selected for the PMRF (Prime Minister's Research Fellowship) scheme this year. Each institute will get 20 PMRF scholars who are eligible to get a fellowship of rs.70,000 per months for the first two years and later it will increase.

9. UP government has passed an ordinance to suspend labour laws in the states for the next three years to boost industrial investment and also help the migrants who have returned back to the state.

10. Himachal Pradesh state government plans to launch a new programme ‘Nigah’. In this programme, the state government educate the family members of the people coming to the state from other parts of the country.
