1. The Supreme Court on Friday has asked states to consider online sale of liquor and home delivery  to avoid social distancing during the lockdown period.State govt shall be concerned over the direct sale of the liquor.

2. Indian Post has tied up with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to deliver COVID-19 testing kits to around 200 labs.It has planned to conduct 1lakh COVID-19 test per day all over the country.

3. Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the Government of India have signed an agreement for a $500 million "COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health Systems Preparedness Project" on 8 May.

5. West Bengal Forest Ministry has announced that the number of Royal Bengal Tiger in Sundarbans has increased to 96 according to the census conducted for the year 2019-20.

5. Indian railway has revealed that it had so far run 251 'Shramik Special Train' ,ferrying about 2.6 lakh migrant stranded workers in different parts of the country due to nationwide lockdown.

6. US based private equity firm 'Vista Equity Partners' has made a deal with Jio, it will invest Rs.11,367 crore to buy 2.32% stake in Jio Platforms Ltd, valuing the company at Rs.4.91 lakh crore.

7. 1982- Asian games bronze winning Indian women's team member Ameeta Sinh has been appointed as the president of faction- ridden Delhi Capitals Badminton Association (DCBA).

8. The Ministry of Defense has signed a contract with the TATA POWER SED estimated to be around Rs.1200 crore to modernize infrastructure of 37 airfields of Indian Air Force.

9. Coir Board signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT-Madras to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the application of Coir exclusively or in combination with other natural fibres.

10. Union Finance Minister Dr. Nirmala Sitharaman has launched the INR-USD Futures and Options contract in the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). they were lunched at the GIFT International Financial Service Centre in Gandhinagar , Gujarat.
