1. India has been elected as the non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC)straight eight times for the year 2021-2022 in the Asia-Pacific category. India bagged 184 votes of the 192 votes. The permanent member of UNSC are US, China, France, Russia and UK.

2. On 23rd June India will participate in the virtual meeting of RIC (Russia+India+Cina) grouping. External minister S. Jaishankar shall take part of this. The key focus from the country side are fight against COVID-19 situation and recent rising tension between Indo-China at Galwan valley near LAC.

3. World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced its 2020 cohort of Technology Pioneers comprised 2 Indian firms namely: ZestMoney and Stellapps.

4. Sustainable Gastronomy Day is observed on 18 June to focus on the world's attention on the role that sustainable gastronomy can play.

5. Asian Development Bank Outlook has forecasted the fact that Indian economy is expected to contract by 4% during the current financial year 2020-2021 due to the ongoing effect of COVID-19. But China will show positive growth of 1.8%.

6. Saudi Arabia's Sovereign Wealth Fund named the Public Investment Fund (PIF) has agreed to purchase 2.32% stake in Jio Platform Ltd. The invest amount will be ₹11,367 crore.

7.  PM Modi will launch 'Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan' to boost better livelihood in rural India. The campaign of 125 days across 116 districts in 6 states aims to work in mission to help the migrant workers. The six states are: Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar.

8. UNCTAD (UN Conference on Trade and Development) has reported that it was the world’s 9th largest recipient of foreign direct investments (FDI) in the year 2019 in its World Investment Report 2020.

9. World Crocodile day was celebrated on 17th June every year to highlight the plight of endangered Crocodiles and alligators around the world. The Indian Crocodile named Marsh Crocodile is listed vulnerable by IUCN.

10. For drone owners in the country, HDFC ERGO General insurance firm has partnered with UK based tech firm TropoGo Limited to launch India’s 1st ‘Pay as you Fly’ insurance. It will commercial drone owners and operators, give life assurance for Third Party Liability Claims.
