1. The 45th annual meeting of the United States India Business Council (USIBC) will be hosted virtually by India on upcoming 21-22nd July. The key focus of this session will be the importance of the positive outcome of the India-US economic partnership and the overall bilateral relationship between the two nations.

2. The National Regulatory Authority for Indian Pharmaceuticals has finally approved the country's first indigenously developed  oral  antiviral drug 'Favipiravir'(Fabiflu) for the treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 positive patients across the country. The drug has been developed by Mumbai based Glenmark Pharmaceuticals.

3.  World Hydrography Day is celebrated on 21st June to highlight the importance of hydrography in today's world. The theme of the day was 'Hydrography-Enabling Autonomous Technology'.

4. One of the eminent leg spinner and Ranji player from Patiala  Rajinder Goel has passed away at the age of 77. During his journey in cricket(1957-85) he took 750 first class cricket including a record 637 wicket in Ranji.

5. Former IAS officer of the 1950 batch and Veteran economist and the member of 10th Finance Commission, B.P.R. Vithal has passed away recently. He was also fiscal adviser of IMF to the government of Sudan and Malawi.

6. DCC K. Surendran , general secretary of Kerala Pradesh Congress has passed away at the age of 65 due to severe pain in chest. He was former president of Kannur labour welfare co-operative society.

7. France and India have recently signed a credit financing agreement promising €200 million to support the social welfare system and India’s COVID-19 response.

8. Union Minister for Science & Technology Dr. Harsh Vardhan has recently inaugurated India’s first Infectious disease diagnostic lab (I-Lab) for COVID-19 testing in rural and inaccessible areas of India .

9. Central Drugs Standard control board of India has given the clearing nod to Hyderabad based pharmaceutical company 'Hetro drug' for the manufacturing and marketing of antiviral drug Remdesivir under the brand name 'Covifor'.

10. Indian think tank NITI Aayog has formed a panel led by its CEO Amitabh Kant to develop a job platform for migrant labours. The committee includes  top executives from the big tech companies like Google, Microsoft and Tech Mahindra.
