1. 27th June is observed as Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) day by the United Nations. The day was first observed in 2017. At the recent global pandemic crisis when millions across the world has lost their jobs ,MSME sector has taken significant step across the world.

2. Liverpool has won the English Premier League 2019-20 title and becomes the first English top title in last 30 years. They have defeated Chelsea in the finale.

3. State Gujarat has recently launched an online cash aid initiative called 'At One Click' for the MSME and bigger industrial units in the state . For this unique aid initiative the government has allocated ₹1369 crore .

4. 1971's Indo-Pak warrior ,Sqn Flight Lieutenant(retd) Parvez Rustom Jamas has passed away. He was commissioned in 1965 and received Vir Chakra gallantry during the 1971 war.

5. World’s First Yoga University outside India in the name of 'Vivekananda Yoga University'(VaYU) was launched in Los Angeles, United States of America by the Minister of State of External Affairs and P P Chaudhary, Chairperson of the Standing Committee on External Affairs. The University offers programs that combine scientific principles and modern research approach to the ancient Indian practice.

6. Two days back eminent Trinamool Congress MLA Shri Tamonash Gosh has passed away due to COVID-19. He was the first elected representative in West Bengal to succumb to the contagious viral infection.

7. American space agency NASA has announced that its headquarters in Washington, D.C., will be named after Mary W. Jackson, who was eminent engineer in their space history. The great’s stories were described in Margot Lee Shetterly’s 2016 nonfiction book “Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Who Helped Win the Space Race.”


8.1987-batch IAS officer Vini Mahajan assumed charge as Punjab’s first woman chief secretary on 26 June 2020. She will hold the additional charge of principal secretary, personnel, and vigilance.

9. Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and film director Anurag Kashyap has been named among the 50 ambassadors at 45th edition Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2020.

10. According to the recent poll conducted by the Wisden India, former captain Rahul Dravid is the greatest Test batsman of all time surpassed Sachin Tendulkar by narrow margin. He got 52% of the votes in the final round of voting.
