1. Centre has launched SWADES initiative to amp the skills of Indians returning from abroad. The term SWADES stands for Skilled Workers Arrival Database for Employment. It actually comes under Vande Bharat Mission.

2. Memorandum of Understanding has signed between India and Bhutan has processed under the chairmanship of PM Modi to improve the cooperation in the field of environment. It will stay effective for a period of 10 years.

3. State Rajasthan has topped the list in COVID-19 management index analysed for 10 state by the Central Government. Case doubling rate is 18days in the state and the mortality rate is 2.16% which is very low with respect to the other states.

4. IFS officer of 1995 batch, Raveesh Kumar has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Finland. He is presently serving as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry.

5. 1986 batch IFS Officer ,Gaitri I. Kumar has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom.

6. Kolkata Port has been renamed as Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port by Kolkata Port Trust Board ,  Union Cabinet has approved this resolution. He was actually the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh.

7. MD and CEO of Kotak Mahindra Bank , Mr Uday Kotak has been appointed as the President of the  Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for the year 2020-21. He will replaced Vikram Kirloskar.

8. World Bank has recently launched a report named ' The Global Economic Prospect Report-2020'. I t showed that the developing economy and global emerging market are highly in vulnerable condition due to the recent COVID-19 crisis. Around 60 million people may be pushed to extreme poverty line in future.

9. Recently China has announced that it will set up Kohala hydropower Project near PoK under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The power of the plant will be 1,224 megawatt.

10. India has dropped 6 places to be ranked at the 23rd spot in the Startup Ecosystem Rankings Report 2020. United States has topped the index followed by United Kingdom. The ranking actually based upon three parameters - Quality, Quantity, and Business Environment in the region.
