1. Vijay Khanduja, current director in the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has been appointed as the the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Zimbabwe.

2. United Nation Public Service day is celebrated on 23rd June in order to signify the value and virtue of public service to the community. It was adopted on 20th Dec,2002 by the UN.

3. Yes Bank Limited has joined hands with Delhi-based fintech startup Affordplan, to launch a first of its kind co-branded healthcare card called ‘Swasth Card’ to enable families plan and manage their finances for their healthcare needs.

4. Main think tank of the country ,NITI Aayog will launch a project named 'Decarbonising Transport in India' on 24th June for reducing the carbon emission due to transportation in the collaboration with the 'International Transport Forum'.

5. For the first time since 1565, in almost  500 years ,a festival named 'Ambubachi' which marks annual menstruation of Goddess has been postponed due to ongoing pandemic COVID-19 situation in Kamakhya temple, Assam.


6. Japan is planning to rename the area covering the Tokyo controlled Senkaku island to 'Tonoshiro Senkaku island' which is disputed with China and Taiwan.

7. India has attended 32nd virtual EAG plenary meet on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism (EAG) yesterday. EAG constitute nine member countries are : India, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

8. Eminent Indian economist, philosopher and Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen has been selected for 2020 Peace Prize by the Board of Trustees of the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade for his decades-long work regarding social justice.

9. Jharkhand become the second state after Kerala in the country to launch a job guarantee scheme for the Urban poor in line with MNREGA(Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) recently. 

10. IIT Delhi and The United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP) India have signed an agreement to support state and national governments in achieving the food and nutrition security.
