1. Indian Turtle Conservation Action Network and Turtle Survival Alliance India and Wordlife Conservation Society India have jointly developed a mobile application named 'KURMA' on World Turtle Day (23rd May) helps identify species and list rescue Centres and save Turtles in India. A number of experts are also registered on the app.

2. The government of  Uttarakhand has recently decided to convert waste generated in the state to electricity under an initiative titled ‘Waste to Energy’. It can generate up to 5 megawatts of electricity and curb pollution.

3. Eminent Bollywood director Rajat Mukherjee has passed away recently in Jaipur. He was known for directing film like Road, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya etc.

4. Finance Minister Dr. Nirmala Sitharaman has represented India in the 3rd G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governor (FMCBG) meeting recently held under the Saudi Arabian Presidency through video conferencing .

5. One of the Master of Indian Mathematics in the post independence era C.S Seshadri has passed away at the age of 88. He was known in the subject with his own discovery 'Seshadri constant'. He was awarded Padma Bhushan in 2009 for his brilliant work in Mathematics.

6. Researchers from Singapore discovered a "Super Giant Isopod" species, a cockroach in the eastern Indian Ocean. The newly found cockroach species has been named ' Bathynomus raksasa'. The cockroach is 50 cm of length has 14 legs.

7. IIT Madras has recently developed a portable hospital unit named 'MediCAB'. The unit can be moved anywhere and can be installed in just two hours.

8. British Formula one racing Mercedes driver  Lewis Hamilton becomes the second player in the world to secure eight times of Hungarian Grand Prix after the legendary Michael Schumacher.
9. The Union Railway Ministry Shri Piyush Goyal has said that the private trains are slated to run from March 2023. The tenders will be finalised by March 2021 and start operation from 2023.

10. Mumbai based India Ratings and Research(Ind-Ra) has reported India's fiscal deficit is estimated to increase to 7.6% in FY21 and the Gross Domestic Product(GDP) to contract by 5.3% in FY21.
