1. Every year on 28th July World Hepatitis Day is observed globally in line with the birthday of Hepatitis- B virus discoverer scientist Dr. Baruch Blumberg . It is marked by World Health Organisations, The theme of this important day in this year is :Hepatitis free future.

2. Yesterday India has handed over 10 railway locomotives to neighboring country Bangladesh under country's 'Neighbourhood First Policy'. The first container trainer will carry 50 containers to Bangladesh recently.

3. Government of India has extended( in response to a request received from the World Health Organisation) its medical assistance worth about US$1 million in the form of anti-tuberculosis medicines to North Korea.

4. Hichem Mechichi has been appointed as the new Prime Minister of Tunisia. He was currently Tunisia's interior minister and previously served as the chief staff at the Ministry of Transport.

5. The Cotton Corporation of India is holding surplus stock of cottons with the next harvested season and setting up its own cotton warehouse in Vietnam to boost cotton exports in the upcoming days.

6. Deputy Managing Director and CCO Partha Pratim Sengupta has been appointed as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indian Overseas bank. He replaced Karnam Sekhar.

7. Centre has banned 47 more Chinese applications that included TikTok Lite Share Lite etc. on last Friday because the government claimed that all these banned apps are clones of the earlier banned 59 apps.

8. Recently a tropical storm named Hurricane Hanna devastated in the South Texas coast , drowned powerlines and roofless houses still threatened by flash flooding in an area already badly infected by COVID-19.

9. Two time Oscar winner British American actress Olivia de Havilland has passed away at the age of 104. She appeared in 49 feature films, and was one of the leading actors of her time. Her one of the blockbuster movie was Captain Blood(1935).

10. Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal has launched the portal named as “Rozgar Bazar”, a sort of marketplace for job seekers and the people recruiters. The recruiters can visit the website and update their requirements, similarly job seekers are also required to visit the portal and update their qualification, experience and requirement.
