1. Defense Acquisition Council under the Ministry of Defense has finally approved the purchasing of 33 new fighter jets deals worth ₹38,900 crore that includes Mig29, Sukhoi-30 aircraft etc. from Russia.

2. Pakistan has appointed Major General Nigar Johar as their first female lieutenant general. She is the first exceptional officer to be promoted as LG of Pakistan Army.

3. Ahmedabad-based Zydus Cadila Healthcare's COVID-19 vaccine gets final approval from the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) .The vaccine will be used for human clinical trials.

4. Former eminent Mizoram assembly speaker(1990) Upa Rokamlova has passed away recently. He was very instrumental to the signing of the Mizo Peace Accord in 1986. He has left politics in 1994.

5. Former RBI Governor C.Rangarajan  has been awarded with Prafulla Chandra Mahalanobis Life Time Achievement Award for his enormous contribution in Statistics.  

6. Centre has approved the 'Special Liquidity Scheme' of ₹30,000 crore for Non-Banking Financial Companies(NBFCs) and Housing Finance Companies (HFCs). It will help and boost those sectors economy.

7. Legendary West Indies batsman Everton Weekes has passed away at the age of 95. He was famous for the ''Three Ws''frame, includes Worrell and Walcott. He played 48 Test for his country.

8. “Annual Marine Fish Landings in India for 2019”-the report prepared by Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI)has shown India’s marine fish production has increased marginally by 2.1% to 3.56 million tonnes in 2019 as compared to 2018. Tamil Nadu topped in annual fish production followed by Gujarat.

9. Government of India has provided 19 lakh households tap connections under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). It aims to provide functional household tap connections (FHTCs) to every rural household of the country by the year 2024.

10. Now in a days Odisha has decided to introduce locally produce millets for the first time under ICDS scheme and Public Distribution System (PDS). It will be carried out as a part of the Odisha's Millet Mission-2017.
